Promotional Materials?

Has anyone left any promotional materials with prospects at the time of a 'walk through' for a quote? Did you find any success?

Has anyone use promotional materials in any other way and found it benefited their business?

I look forward to hearing what works for everyone. Please include what materials you have used as well.

Thanks!
Lamar Saunders

When I was new to the business I used social media marketing and e-mail marketing techniques, are the part of off page SEO strategies because I required very less money to take service from them and earn more profit.

Email marketing is something, which you can depend on for every service. You need to have specific in marketing depending on your service. First thing is to find target market place for you.

Hi Youngstarr,
Just to help you out a little better, what stage of your business are you at? are you just starting our or do you have customers already? when I help my clients build up their own cleaning businesses I like to set them up with marketing strategies that will get them customers very quickly. Email marketing is very effective but it takes a little while to get customers from it so it may not be the best strategy for you if you are just starting out.

I run my own cleaning business, and have a background in marketing. I help others to grow their cleaning business on my website at http://everybodycleanup.com

I like to give a nice full color tri fold and nice business card. Not to much info jammed into the trifold, because they really don't care. What it DOES do, is set you apart from the Fly-By-Nighters that have also stopped in.

I always left a trifold brochure that contained before and after photos, a list of services and client testimonials, along with a fridge magnate. Even if they didn't use me on that cleaning, that little .50 cent magnate stayed in front of them everyday and I may get the next cleaning. It worked many times for me.

youngstarr,

I agree with SCT. Before and after pictures coupled with testimonials, a list of the services you provide and topped off with a small free gift can prove invaluable!

This is true but digital marketing is also very expensive especially for start-ups. I highly recommend brochures, fliers and business cards. A good talk with the owner of the establishment/house and a very competitive pricing will take you a long way too. If you have a database or a list of possible clients and their email/fax you can do email campaigns yourself. Just throw some discount coupons of some sort, that should yield some call-ins. I'd rather do things personally though to cut expenses.

The only thing I ever used was a business card and word of mouth for advertising.Everything else was a waste of money.

Each time you get a customer do a GREAT JOB and you will get more customers.

If I was going to start over though I would get my cards in every hand I could.Carry them with you and pass them out.

Make it a point everyday to pass out at least a dozen cards, plus leave them everywhere you go throughout the day.
