Ringless voicemail drops

Has anyone in the group tried a new service called Ringless Voicemail Drops?

It creates a message and drops it onto your customers mobile phone without the cost of sending etc, connects with that potential client 2-3 times via voicemail drop, text etc...

I am looking into it now. We have a database of our current customers and I think it would be a great way to reach out to them with a current special that is totally different from anything else they have seen.

Huh. Personally, I think this idea stinks. Most people dislike (intensely) sales sorts of messages and calls. It is a waste of their time, annoying, and a huge turn off. I do not think I am all that different from anyone else. I may not be glued to my "smart phone" - I am not. But I am an ordinary citizen who highly dislikes getting calls from companies I dont know.

It is your REPUTATION that will get you new work, no sales calls, fliers, or any of that stuff. Maybe online marketing helps. But ONLY if you prove yourself to be worthy of praise will people want to hire you and keep you busy. Its a tough world out there. There is no easy answer. It takes strength to do each job well, and to communicate well with your customers. Word of mouth goes a LONG way in the cleaning business!

Way to piss off a bunch of people. Just look at all the people that have signed up for no phone solicitations and then see how much they like getting unsolicited voice mails. If you want to ruin your business that is the way to do it. My window cleaning customers would kill me.

I think this sort of thing just SUCKS (excuse my language). I detest companies that do this sort of thing, and I do not think I am much different from the average person. When you resort to this sort of junk, it is almost as if you are saying "I am a cheap company who resorts to obnoxious tactics to find stupid new customers." For heavens sake, have some PRIDE in what you do! Be PROUD of your work, if you can honestly say that you ARE proud of your work. If you cannot say that, get out of this business! Find something to earn money where you dont have to resort to this sort of nonsense.

Aaron: you are right. Glad someone here understands. I cannot STAND getting this sort of voicemail, text, email, etc. They get marked as spam and out into the trash they go.
