How many of you guys have a mini office set up in your car/van/truck so you can print off professional estimates on site?
I always had a laptop and printer along with all my print materials in my truck so I could make a sale there if possible. Also, it allowed me to give them a professional easy to read estimate instead of a hand written one.
I remember on one estimate measuring the home, going and printing everything off, and then giving the client a nice folder with a printed estimate, warranty document, and other info all in color for $2,800. The guy laughed and showed me the last guys estimate. It was a black and white business card that had been printed at the guys house with $1,800 printed on the back of the card in pencil with no other info about what he was going to do.
Anyways, my estimate was $1,000 more and I got the job right there.
What do you guys do and if can answer questions if anyone needs help setting one up.
