Creating a website just got easier with free website creators these days. There are many website makers I have tried, and each has its own qualities and appearance. For most of them, You can either choose a free website (limited features with subdomain) or pay for a more professional site. If you are starting to make a website, I suggest you use these website makers and sign up for the free plan and then upgrade whenever you like. Free plans offer simple things like text, html, widgets, uploading pics/videos, and more. Usually, website makers provide useful templates so you don't have to create everything from scratch.

The next step after building a website is the promotion. So internet marketing strategies can surely help any business succeed online. Paid advertising, SEO, social media, blogging etc...are some very useful tools that need to be done to get results and revenue.

I highly recommend Squarespace. It's a lot easier to build a website from scratch and is very user friendly. Wordpress is good but is way too complicated for a beginner I reckon.

Hello, my name is Steve Combs and I live in San Angelo tx. I recently retired from the local newspaper after 25 years working in the advertising department. I have decided to build simple affordable websites for small businesses like yours. Since I am just getting started I am offering a terrific deal. There is a company advertising on T.V. that they will build your website for free and then you pay hosting and support. They start out at $114 monthly. I am offering the same deal, I will build your website for free and offer hosting and support for only $199 for the YEAR! If you already have hosting I will build your website for only $99. You will pay nothing up front. I will put your site together and if you like it then we will move forward and if not, no harm no foul. Let me know if you are interested. Feel free to call me anytime at 3253740315. Please leave a message if I do not answer and I will return your call promptly. Look forward to hearing from you.

Probably LOTS of reason for that. What metatags do you have for your site and which ones do you have for the separate pages? What page title do you have? Did you include a <h1></h1>? If you used a build it yourself type of thing to build it, most likely they don't have a drop and drag <h1></h1> section. Not enough content. While video is good, google needs to be able to search it for words. Tons of behind the scenes things that might not be done. But what do I know... I'm just a toilet cleaner. Tons of people on here that say they can get you too the first page. Just make sure it is the CORRECT first page.

You can use WordPress or Blogger with paid domain. It's not hard. YouTube have many tutorial about it. Still you are not easy with them, take help from someone. Also you can use Web Developer. We are all also here to help you, if any question. Hope you make a nice website soon.

Wordpress is actually great for SEO and marketing your website on Google. Wix.com doesnt offer very much SEO capabilities

I use a 'free' site builder for all my websites and they all rank very well (most 1st page). The hardest to rank was for cleaning but we are all up against high dollar budgets when it comes to SEO for cleaning sites. I just do what google says it wants and it's been working for me. Personally I don't get caught up in the Wix or the wordpress stuff. Too complicated for a guy that wants to make money and not spend all his time learning little codes.

I had a guy tell me that my sites just didn't look as good as his Wix site does. Then I asked him if he would rather his site look like a million dollars and no one be able to find it or if he would rather it look cheap and everyone be able to find it. His answer was..... he would rather have a site that looked like a million dollars and have no one find it. Side note: he is still driving that 2002 Pontiac Sunfire because he can't afford anything else because he makes very little money due to his not-so-smart business decisions while those that would choose to have a site that doesn't look so good but is found by millions can drive what ever we want.

You can make it alone and free with wordpress but consider writedown structure, content and find some good pictures 1st also the site name is very important!

I'm in the middle of making another website (that will be on many first pages of Google by March) so I thought I'd revisit this thread. It doesn't matter who makes your site or what you put on your site, if you don't do the correct things behind the scenes.... it's basically all useless. 98% of all my websites have reached the first page of Google. And by that I mean under useful searches, not just for the name of the company. Hell, anyone can make it on the first page of the exact name of your company. Let's say for example I was in Miami.... I would want to rank for things such as Miami house cleaning or Miami maids or best maids Miami and I would be on the first page of Google for those searches.... because I'm good.

You can use any FREE site to get to the top and you don't even need a bought .com name. You can have an unlimited site at Weebly for FREE. And, you can have a FREE .weebly.com for FREE forEVER (atleast so far) and you can rank first page of actual searched for words on Google all for FREE. Yes, you can pay to have more on Weebly... but why?

Yes, you will need to learn how to do SEO for Weebly but it is EASY and there are all kinds of videos and articles how to do it. As for building the website... there is NOTHING to learn.... it is 100% drag & drop. Honestly, if you can't figure out Weebly, you don't need to be in the cleaning business... you will never make it.

My vote is with Wordpress. My website has looked so much better and been %100 mobile friendly (which Google likes) since I learned how to use it. There's really not any coding that goes into it.

It's free with a lot of hosting services, there's a huge support community for it and tons of free templates out there. Do it!

If you want to build a website then you need a CMS website. CMS is the best option to create the user-friendly website. A CMS also includes SEO feature. They also promote your business online.
