We also clean roofs and paint. Here in hot humid Tampa FL rainy season the roof algae grows very quickly. Our painting and roof cleaning company has been battling the dark black roof stains that appear on the north side of roofs here in Tampa for many years!
Many times the stains require a second 'shot' of solution like the one you mentioned. Western Central Florida Roof Stains get jet black...with all of the rain and moisture.
Many of the house painters in Tampa use the same solution to clean dark algae stains from stucco like the ones pictured in the linked page.
Don was manning the water hose on this job.
All of the plants were pre-wet like you mentioned. The home had gutters all the way around that we cleaned/flooded and re-routed prior to cleaning.

First apply algaecide to the roof that neutraling the algae growth. For smaller surface areas a good rinse down of all adjacent structures. However, for larger roof cleaning projects, periodic rinse and wet downs are the best way to protect and care for the property.
For roof cleaning first one has to know what type of roof one has? take advice from roof manufacturer, avoid using chlorine bleach solution for cleaning the roof, avoid pressure washing,it may damage the color of roof and finally need to wear gloves, non-skid shoes or boots and goggles for safety purpose.
Roof cleaning in different season is really very complicated. Even though you have good experience. In winter when ice thumbed at roof. It really very embarrassing to hire unprofessional for your roof cleaning service. So you should have better experience for roof cleaning services.
When you use bleach, make sure to bag off all gutter downspouts. It's not a bad idea to have a guy spraying down plants close to house with water while you are treating roof.

My husband and I planning for a room addition project and decided to work with an architect during the room addition design phase. We have checked and consult with local building inspector to determine if there are any legal issues that could prevent you from building your room addition. Roofs play an important part when it comes to building an addition.
A room addition can improve your home life by giving family a specific, welcoming place to relax and enjoy each others' company.
Treat the clean roof with an inhibitor to prevent the mold from returning.
