Ladder length question

I need a ladder to reach my gutters. From the ground to the gutter +2 feet above is 19 feet. I then measured about 6 feet away from my house. Using the Pythagorean therom, I need about 20 feet of ladder.

Since a 20 foot extension ladder doesnt actually give me 20 feet of ladder, would a 32 foot extension ladder work?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Werner and others offer a few lengths you might be interested in and it never hurts to add one of these to your arsenal.

32 feet will be a little long and harder to handle. The 28 foot Werner is what we use most often for Roof Cleaning In Tampa
We don't like to drive around Tampa with an overly long ladder, in the high traffic parts of Tampa Florida especially.

Like Chris said, a 28 ft ladder will get us up on most 2 story homes and seems to be the most versatile ladder for what we do.
