Black marks under wax on rubber flooring
Hello everyone. For the past three years our department has been struggling with an on going war between the black rubber wheels and the rubber flooring.
(I would post a picture of the wheels and marks but apparently I need 20 posts.)
For some reason in the ER these wheels leave black marks that sneak their way through the wax and onto the floor so we have to strip to get rid of them. We even have a boost machine and the machine doesn't get deep enough to erase them. Being in the ER we have a very small time frame to strip and apply finish and I was wondering if anyone knew a way to stop these black marks from appearing. I've confirmed that it only happens on this type of rubber floor as we have many different floor materials layed across the hospital and the only place that the black marks appear are the ER and OR which both have the same rubber flooring. We tried both Vectra and Signature and they still sink through both finishes.
I tried contacting johnson diversey but our rep doesn't know squat. When he came and demo'd the boost he had no idea what the buttons did and we had to guess. Lucky me right?
Anyways. Any type of support on this matter would be much appreciated!
