Lightbulb Marketing idea for you S&W peeps

Just thought id share some luck I have had lately.Im not sure about everyone else's area but architect's recently started requiring S&W to be included in the bid from Flooring companies that offer VCT. We went and shook hands with all the flooring companies in the area and gave them a price sheet broken down by size of job per square foot etc. and they have been throwing us some nice jobs. They only ask for 2 coats and since it is new construction there is no time restrictions or furniture in the way. Anyways just thought id share... if you try it let me know if you have the same luck. - Kris

Very good idea! We wanted to do something similar. What prices did you offer and do they mark it up or just refer you guys?

Really the price depends on what type of profit you are looking to make, we hit em at .16 for anything over 5K but since its new construction they only want 2 coats with no strip ( I know you should strip new VCT regardless but they ask us not to) They do not mark anything up just refer us to the General Contractor. So far its been great, we just did a 14K square foot job last night, PH clean and 2 coats... it was cake.

Good deal, 0.16/sq. ft. is well worth it in the 5-15k sq. ft range. And if you're not stripping anything that's all the better.

What wax have you been using?
