Brand Spanking New

Hey, my name is Rob and I'm gearing up to start my first cleaning business with a large focus on the commercial side. A bit about me. I come from an 11 year background in hospitality sales/marketing. I've spent my whole career making other companies wealthy and decided it was time to sell for myself! Just booked an appointment with my accountant to begin the process of legalizing my cleaning business. Any tips or suggestions when starting out?

Why do you need an accountant exactly?
I want to get my business started also...I thought once you register the business you just go from there...
I am really asking because I do not know :/

accountant

Hey, I guess you don't have to see an accountant but if you want your business to be set up legitimately I recommend it. My accountant does Business Formation. An accountant will make sure your business is set up accurately. Registration, tax purposes, LLC etc. You can do it on your own but their are a lot of steps and it can be confusing. And you don't want to get a fine down the road because you didn't set up your business correctly. Plus, you want to build a relationship with an accountant when it time to do your taxes and if you need any financial advice. If you're serious about starting I would recommend going through a professional who can help you do it right.

You don't necessarily need an accountant if you are capable of making sense of and filing in a timely manner the many taxes a small incorporated business is responsible for paying on a regular basis. You don't need one but you might want one.
