Hello all..

Hello I operate my own handyman business named after my dog Simon says, we can fix that. I currently have the maintenance repairs contract at our local movie theater. Well the boss called me yesterday and asked if I'd like the cleaning contract as well. Current company isn't doing well because their boss doesn't care. Those same employees have been there cleaning the theaters for over 5 yrs. I can keep those employees who know what they are doing. Problem is what they are paying the current there is no way I can do it for that , I'd actually would loose every week. Why would i... The big shot for theaters told me they pay him $6400/month for 51,000sq ft., 2100 seat, 12 screens.. running the numbers my payroll would be about $1300 / week and after paying workers comp., insurance and such I'd be around $1800/week.. My question is how do I price it., I'm pretty sure as long as price is reasonable I'll get it.. thank you in advance..

Simon... bad news for you. 6400/month is probably fair. What city are you living in? I've collected bids from guys like you. There is a reason the boss doesn't care, it's because they low balled the margin like everyone else does in the theatre business cleaning contracts. They usually ask for more and more for less. PST your email and we can talk more. I really do know this industry and can help you out.
