Hi Joe, and welcome!
This can be a useful site, but be forwarned: too many people use it to only promote their business or their products. Phooey on that! I had hoped this forum would be a source of good new information and useful tips. So far, this forum has fallen a bit short of that. I keep hoping that the good (honest) cleaners out there will chime in and share their knowledge.
Cleaning can be a great business, a satisfying one. But only if you actually LIKE to clean and are a bit perfectionistic about it. Customers appreciate this, and will show it by retaining you. I have found that too many cleaning businesses run a "one hit" show. They show up, do a half-a___d job, charge too much, and thats about it. Many companies will hire just about anyone, and it shows in their results. A good company will interview new
hires extensively to see if they have what it takes. And not accept less than excellence.
If you care about results, and truly enjoy the work, it can be profitable for you, but it wont be an easy haul!
