Hello Everyone! New to the Board and Happy New Year!

Hi Everyone! I am new to this board. Happy New Year!

I own a small residential and commercial house cleaning company called Maid Green. We specialize in eco-friendly and green house cleaning.

It never made any sense to me to use bleach and other harsh chemicals for cleaning when there are so many great products and simple remedies using safe ingredients. We currently use many different types of products but one of our main products is from a company called Waxie. They have a good green line of cleaning products that are inexpensive and work well.

I hope to become a regular contributor to these forums and help to spread the green cleaning way!

Thumbs up eco-friendly products

Hello - I am so happy to hear you are using eco-friendly products. I recently switched to using products sold by a company that only makes/sells eco-friendly products. I am 6 months pregnant, and before I first conceived I knew I needed to make a switch to cleaning products that would not be harmful to my child, or me for that matter.

If you are interested, I can tell you more about these products. They really are fairly cheap, but the highest quality I have been able to find. And, they are safe enough that if swallowed, it is okay. No chemicals or toxins are in the products AT ALL. Just an example of one product and its uses:

My husband is infamous for leaving a pen in his pocket and throwing it in the washing machine. I regularly have a load of ruined clothing. This one product took all of the ink out of that "ruined load" of laundry last time, no problem. This was after they were washed and dried. This same product can be used as a bug spray, even safe to spray directly on your face, and it can be used to clean your kitchen, high chairs, floors (safe on even wood), AND it works wonders in cleaning out humidifiers - can be poured directly in, left in so it goes into the air, cleans the humidifier, and helps clear out bacteria in the air, as well as acts as a decongestant. This one product costs about $1 for a spray bottle worth.

Wow, I am going on and on. What a nerd am I to be so excited about cleaning products?? It just was great to see you promoting eco-friendly products for cleaning purposes!
