Hello - Help!

Hello EVeryone!
I'm a cleaner working for a small family owned cleaning business. I need HELP! but this is a personal problem not to do with my day job.... my dog had some bright red chews for Christmas - which have just now been chewed and unfortunatley sicked up on my beige carpet. i now have red/pink stains on my beautiful carpet and i've tried the 'capture' (spray and powder) which we use at work and the usual 1001 mousse from the supermarket. nothing seems to shift it. anyone know what to do with dog chew stains - presumably it's some kind of food colouring.
posted in hope...

Try some vinegar and water solution. 1 cup of vinegar to 2 cups water. It will smell stong but hopefully it will do the trick. If not the stains have probably sat to log berfore being treated especially since you said you've tried everything at the super market. Does that include oxy clean? That's pretty good with stains as well. Hope I've helped a bit. Good luck!!

thank you!

thank you for that - i think vinegar is really worth a try i hadn't thought of that! yes - it has been there a few days now but i think the vinegar might get under it. have you any thoughts about a bicarbonate of soda paste? someone suggested that, but i thought it might be an idea to check with the experts!
best wishes

Welcome Wags, we are glad that you found cleaningtalk.com

If all else fails with the removal of the dye from your carpet you can seek out a product called red relief that is sold thru suppliers who carry carpet cleaning chemicals.
