An open letter to all of those who think they should be able to go the the various boards and get all of the questions answered. What do I charge, how do I do this, why cannot I not get new business. Do I need insurance, a bond a license? Do a search for the answeres before you bother us. Most of us have found the answeres the hard way, by doing and by building relationships and getting credibility. why did you go into business w/o having an idea what going into business required? Do you have any idea what the failure rate for new business it?

And you are right, I do not have much sympathy for most of you newbies out there. Next year there will be a new crop of newbies asking the same questions, then getting desparte and dropping prices and losing money and selling their equipment.

Good luck, newbies.

The various boards are created to answer questions and provide info to newbies and oldies. I'm sure you did have to learn the hard way with that attitude. You don't have to read the "newbies" posts if you don't want to, just go to the next post. Chances are there will be just as many oldheads with bad attitudes losing money and selling their equipment as newbies.

Chill out dude, use your money to buy a stress ball or something.

By the way, don't open a business dealing with spelling or sentence structure. Looking at your post, the failure rate would be high.

Good luck to all.

dude are you in the pw business and according to your post you must be new to the boards as well , most people utilize the search button before asking the same questions that have already been asked a million times and we have always answered them a million times , I am sure Barry is more or less referring to the fact that the info is already on here and it surely shows laziness for not trying to find it first on his own , if this is the same lazy way he is going to go about running a business , hoping someone will do all the work for him , I feel sure he will go out of business relativly soon !

However , taking stabs at someone who has already proven himself like Barry at Midwest Pro Wash is a bit silly

My post is directed toward Douglas Hicks, not Barry. I am not new to pw or these type of boards, I mainly posted the message because I don't like it when people like Mr. Hicks are rude to other people (wetwash). I have read your posts several times and I believe on several sites. You seem very helpful and successful.

I'm a firm believer that people who are rude (Hicks) need to be told there rude.
