I live in Florida. I use two online services to find jobs. Thumbtack and Care.com. Thumbtack has given me the most good customers. You pay a (fairly small) fee when you send a quote. Care.com has more rules than they do and that is why I dont use them as much. I have magnetic car door signs, which have given me a surprisingly large amount of new work. Once you get your foot in the door, and develop a good reputation, new work is a lot easier to find. Word of mouth is the best selling point! But, you gotta be good in order to develop that one. Newbies normally make a bunch of mistakes: I did, and I learned from them all. Once you have made a mistake, you try hard not to repeat it. Always be willing to learn, to try new things, and most of all, find the cleaning products that seem to work BEST for you. What works here might not work in some other state - probably that is because of the water quality. Try to use safe and natural products. People - most of them - want that now. "Green" products, but I use that term in quotes because WHO KNOWS if the stuff is really natural???
Good luck to you, and keep trying. Things will get better, once you have a start in this business.
