Teri Is Free

Hello Everyone,

I have never posted a message so I thought this was good a time as any. I am currently working for this cleaning business that only pays me $400 a month to clean a 11,000 sq. ft. building. My first question is this fair, and my second is is it difficult getting my own business. Anyway I'd like to say this site has been helpfull in many ways. I wish everyone all the luck in succeeding at their own business, but PLEASE be fair to those who work for you.

How many hours are you working for that $400? Sounds like minimum wage to me. The 2 Girls that work for my Wife and I, make $13/hr. We have an account that is 9000 sqft gets vacuumed and trash removal plus 5 restrooms-5 days/week. Takes about an hour each day with only 2 girls working. It pays $1700/month. Hope that gives you an Idea of what the work is worth. Both for the Business and Employee.

It's fair if that's what you're willing to do it for.
How long does it take you to clean this building?

If you're not willing to do it for $400, then tell your employer and do your own thing! Hang around here and you will pick up a lot of good information and help. Nobody's going to hold your hand and do it for you, but you will get plenty of support.

Nathan, just a note to say I enjoy your site. I am in Pensacola, Fl. and am semi-retired. I do pressure cleaning as needed, it gets me out of the house and make some money at the same time. I think you got a good thing going. wally carter
