I think they both have their place. A truck mount will in most cases do a better job of cleaning. But there are areas a truck mount can not access that you need a portable for.

I go for truck mount machine which has specialized by design and heat performance. It is completely reliable and maintain its durability through the cleaning activity. It's CDS electronic speed control is increase vacuum performance by 30% and reduce fuel consumption.

I would say that both are effective in its place. For e.g. in cleaning corners, a portable cleaner is best and for larger area, a truck mount cleaner is best.

I believe so. When we have wide-carpeted-rooms to clean, truck mount is a MUST but when we wanted to clean those that are in those almost-cannot-be-reach-spots, we NEED the portable ones.

: All the best.

A good portable is just as effective as a huge truck mount

I used both truck mount and a portable one. Both are good for cleaning purpose. If you use a truck mount, then it take more energy. But I like it because you don't need to remove dust again and again when the bag gets full. I will suggest you to use a truck mount vacuum cleaner.

It all depends on if you need to be portable or not. Most of the time you will need to be somewhat, so the portable one would make more sense.

I think you should have both. Truck mount does offer more power and it usually does the job but there are tricky areas it can't reach so yeah. but if have to pick one and you are looking for the more efficient vac then go for truck mounts.

Both are equally effective for carpet and upholstery cleaning. Though TM are much pricier and are not portable ! If your planning on doing tile, you need higher PSI ,then you'll need a TM . I use a Cross American 8.4 Jaguar Portable, very powerful machine and of course you can roll it out if needed.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency, a dirty carpet can retain several sources of indoor air pollutants, including pet dander, cockroach allergens, lead, particle pollution and everyday dirt and dust. Toxic airborne gases can adhere to these particles and also get trapped within the carpet.

These toxic gases can be released through everyday activities such as vacuuming and walking across the carpet, which can cause them to contaminate the air in your home. Professional carpet cleaning services kill these bacteria through special carpet shampoo formulas and can remove deeply trapped pollutants with high-powered vacuums.
