Winter time

What are all of you power washers doing during the colder winter weather? Do any of you have added lines of work that you also do?

Relax!!! .... Actually, work never stops for a Business owner. Getting a head start on taxes and marketing for spring. Spent yesterday stuffing envelopes with Christmas Cards and Biz Card Magnets for our customer list.

The high will be 70* today, so we'll do what we normally do.

Wink Yeah, Well...

Our high will be almost 50* today...so we'll do what, I guess, you usually do too!

Seriouslythough, I do inside flatwork at a couple of places, and whatever smaller resi stuff I can sell.

I also plow a bit, although that is another long tale of woe this year...

Doing some remodeling projects for pwing customers that have become friends and for some friends that are now customers. Just finished off the inside of a pole barn and adding a room to the inside of another. Still have to wash 130 cars at the Ford dealership every two weeks if it's above freezing. The other morning the wind chill was 2 degrees. But will be a high of 39 this weekend so I'll be washing them......yeahhh!

Hmmmm
The high should be about 20 tonight if I am lucky while on a icy wet roof, totally soaked, covered in grease, and staring down the shaft for an exhaust system of an 8 story restaurant. Oh yeah and asking myself why are there 10 dead birds all around the fan, or does your tongue really get stuck to metal objects in the winter.

I love my job and I can make my own snow this high up.

We've had a strange year as far as the weather goes, no snow, high one day around 50* and next, high of 13*. No picnic to work, or even bid in.

Seems like if the water is going to be too stiff to pump, it could at least be stiff enough to plow, you know?

Also had some unexpected engine trouble on the plow truck, not the greatest thing at year-end, before any snow has fallen.

Oh well, it could be worse, I could be an employee!
