8) Put a few spoonfuls in a cup of water in the microwave, boil for two minutes, then wipe down the inside with a sponge.

9) Sprinkle a little baking soda into the laundry hamper to minimize odors.

10) Remove crayon marks from walls by scrubbing gently with an old toothbrush and a paste of baking soda and water.

It's also good to mix with vinegar to clear out drains. Fill the sink with hot tap water. Open the drain and let it work its way down using the pressure of the water in the sink. Add about a half cup or so of baking soda (I couldn't get the drain cover off so I shot it down the drain with a turkey baster). Add some vinegar (other sources say 1:1 vinegar and water). Shut the drain. Leave it for awhile (10 min to 1/2 hr) and let it fizz. Fill the sink again with water and drain it down. Repeat as necessary.
