Cleaning counters, dressers

Hello I am new to the cleaning business and had a quick question.
WHen cleaning counters, dressers off do you move the clients stuff out of the way and clean under it or do you go around it? Basically if someone has clutter all over their kitchen and bathroom counters do you move it and place it back? Thanks for the help in advance!

I try not to move the client's things. Not moving things protects you from damages. Upfront discussions can be made with the client for the best approach.
