Cleaning under plastic ‘sealant’

The footboards in our kitchen have a thin, clear plastic strip around them very tight against the footboard. You can get a finger nail under them (just) but can’t get right under them where, over the last couple of years, loads of dirt, hair etc has built up.
The plastic acts as a kind of sealant with how tight it is, but it makes them look very dirty as we have white footboards.
Any advice?

Have you tried any cleaning products to use? This usually helps me and there are no problems with spots

Six months ago, my wife and I moved to a new home in Los Angeles and faced the same problem. There were dark spots under almost every leg. It was immediately obvious and looked very unpleasant. We tried a lot of cleaning products, but none of them helped us completely get rid of these spots. They were partially gone, but the outline was still there, and we didn't like it very much. Fortunately, house cleaning in Los Angeles is very developed and we called in professionals who completely removed these stains from our kitchen. Everything was so clean that there wasn't even a single spot anymore. We were very grateful for this help, as we could not have done it ourselves
