How many jobs do you have per day?

Good evening!

I am always interested to know how many houses (or jobs) other companies have each day and how many employees (if any) you have working for you. As business has grown, I have wondered when is the right time to add more staff. I often think after a busy day "COULD I handle more?"
I just thought I would ask and get a new conversation started.

Thanks!

There is a general rule of thumb when considering exapnsion. Do it after you maximize your profit margin. If you can do three house per day but find you have enough clients to do four, raise your prices. Once you are highly profitable and in demand, then you expand.

Keep in mind that adding employees means you now have administrative work to prepare payroll and that an employee is going to cost you approximately 45% more than their their pay per hour when you factor in matching taxes, bonding, workmens comp and training.

My schedule varies, but on most days I have 3 - 6 cleans. On my busier days I have 3 of us, which we still make great time for it to be a long day. At one time my schedule was so spread out, where I had 2 here and 2 there.....well, I just decided to consolidate my schedule and put 4-6 on a day instead of spreading out to 2 days.

I like my schedule better the way it is now, because it has allowed me to have more time off and work less days, which gives me room for more clients and time to work on getting those clients.
