Making Your Own Cleaning Supplies

Does anyone here create their own cleaning supplies? I've found some recipes online for "green cleaning" supplies, but I'm wondering how far that goes. Does anyone have good recipes for windows, floors, tubs etc? Preferrably stuff that doesn't have to be made each time, but can be made in bulk and stored till we need to use it.

Also, has anyone here sold their own cleaning supplies?

Thanks!!

I make my own all purpose with essential oils, dr. bonners castile soap, . I know you can make your own soft scrub too. I think with borax, dr. bonners soap, baking soda and washing soap. If it's not those three (powders) together, it's two of those. Can't remember the combination. I'll have to check my files and get back to you. However, you can use baking soda and salt for an abrasive to clean tubs, showers, etc. Hope this helps.

Wink

I use a "homemade" glass/window cleaner: 3 parts water to 1 part vinegar, a drop of dish soap, and a dash of lemon juice. For some reason, it works best when dried and polished with newspaper (be sure to wash your hands after!).

Also, I agree, baking soda is a great tub scrub! While I like to use products that are environmentally friendly (I know some people who clean with *only* vinegar and baking soda), I do like the convenience and shine of commercial cleaners, like vim, and that crazy white paste for cleaning ceramic stove tops. I wish I could make *that* myself!

Thumbs up Re :

There are quality care homes for the elderly in Manchester or Wales that aim to provide your loved ones with all the care or comfort of a home. You will get a comfortable or caring environment in a home from home atmosphere. Log on to EMI Residential and Residential Care for the Elderly for more about these respite homes.
Thanks'!!!!
