Honestly when it comes to mold, you can never truly know where it all is. It's often hiding in places we would never even think of so I think your best bet is to talk to a professional about this. Show them the house and ask for their opinion on it before you make any major decision or step

It may be that your routine domestic activities are encouraging the growth of mold in your home. Make sure an activity as simple as cooking dinner, taking a shower, or doing a load of laundry doesn't invite mold by providing proper ventilation in your bathroom, kitchen, laundry room, and any other high-moisture area. Vent appliances that produce moisture ó clothes dryers, stoves ó to the outside. Use AC units and dehumidifiers, but make sure they donít produce moisture themselves by checking them periodically and cleaning them as directed by the manufacturer. Your energy-efficient home may be holding moisture inside, so open a window when cooking or washing dishes or showering, or run an exhaust fan.

You need a professional restoration company to get rid of the mold and it's source. IMO

Exposure to mold in buildings and homes can cause serious health issues. It has also been associated with lung cancer. Thus, it should not be taken lightly. I suggest you get your house inspected by mold restoration companies. They will be able to tell you exactly. They have advanced training and techniques to completely eliminate the mold infestation and restore the property without risk of further growth or dispersal.

Stubborn Mold Removal Spray

  • 1/4 cup bleach
  • 2 cups warm water

  1. Open the windows to ensure adequate ventilation.
  2. Combine the ingredients above in a spray bottle and liberally apply on painted walls, tile or other non-porous surfaces.
  3. Scrub thoroughly and wipe clean.
  4. If any mold remains, reapply and let sit 15 minutes before scrubbing. Spray again then wipe with a clean, damp cloth.
  5. Direct a fan at the cleaned area to dry it quickly.
