Old rotting floors, Toxic smell.

I am renting workshop space in an old warehouse. The floors are super old. Half the floor is plywood.
Anyways, the tenant before me was a leather maker. I am not sure if that is relevant but the entire workshop smells like toxic materials (ie. gasoline, leather cleaner, etc.)
I have been there for 3 months (with the windows kept open those 3 months) and the smell is getting no better. My clothes stink from it when I get home. I also have a pregnant wife who I won't allow inside because of the potential toxic fumes.

I think it may be the floors.

How would I clean floors like this?

Picture is attached.

All your help is greatly appreciated.
