To me they are one in the same. Janitors perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties in a building or office. The phrase "janitorial services" typically means that you work for a janitorial company that provides outsourced services to client companies. Office cleaning is specifically the cleaning of offices while janitorial can be any type of commercial cleaning.

Janitorial services are mostly the regular daily jobs of cleaning. While office/commercial cleaning covers a broader aspect, like a contract based weekly, monthly or annual cleaning of the entire space.

Office cleaning is more specific and easier to make contracts for. Kind of like maid services.

Office cleaning is general vacuuming, dusting & surface cleaning. A bit of window cleaning & a light touch up of bathrooms & floors

Janitorial is usually bathrooms and toilets.

Janitorial 50% more

I own a janitorial business and we include ALL of the services mentioned above. We are all inclusive so to speak. One member stated its difficult to make contracts for janitorial but I haven't come across that yet. We offer a daily, weekly, biwkly, monthly & one time cleaning service. It all depends on what the customer needs. We customize a checklist to meet our customers needs as well. We also do other unrelated task such as maintaining the cooler water trays, emptying the refrigerators & cabinets, ice machines, hard floor care & so on. Also, we service office spaces, new & renovated properties, manufacturing facilities, financial institutions & medical clinics to include the production areas within the facilities. I honestly don't know if there's much of a difference aside from these small factors. I advertise all services so anyone looking for a provider can see we offer those services. Some of the older timers may know more but this is how we operate.
