Post construction cleaning sq. ft. price????
Hi, I am new here and haven't been able to find a thread that pertains to my particular question so thought I would just post a question.
My partner and I started a cleaning company last year. We clean new construction townhouses. When we started we were given a round about price as to what the builder typically paid for the size house we were cleaning. We based all our other jobs off that amount. There is no sq. ft. price, hourly rate, etc, therefore our prices range anywhere from $350-475. The jobs are usually 2-3 floors with a finished basement. 2-4 full bathrooms. all hardwood floors with occasional carpeted bedroom (basement always carpeted). front and sometimes side windows.
Anyway, we have obtained new builders based upon "ballpark" pricing. It is working for us. But now we have a builder who wants a sq. ft. price and I haven't got a clue.... The thing with sq. ft. is that is based upon the floor, so doesn't necessarily consider the windows, walls, kitchen cabinets, light fixtures, etc.
I have been looking at completed jobs and our prices trying to come up with a solution but it's quite difficult as I don't know those sq. ft. I just know the amount of time spent at the job.
Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
