Question The price is right?

Today a auto parts company call me to get a quote. The building is around 10,000 to 15,000 sq ft and they want 3 times a week.

I give them a $340 per week quote, charging 20/hr.

I was told to charge $.12 per sq. ft. but I can get a exact measure thats way a charge per hour.

Can some one tell me if I over charge or if price is right.

Lightbulb 2 options

If you went with an estimate of 15,000sqft it would be a 1800.00 job. If you not sure about it I would go with hourly. You can usually estimate how long a job will take. I have had more luck estimating the time/hourly. Good luck!

I think your quote is very low. Using a 2-man crew, I'm looking at 4 hrs/cleaning service based on 15,000 s.f. Calculating at $70./man hr, your weekly quote would be $840./wk - $3360./month. Include your supplies & mileage.

Is it an auto parts store or an auto repair and auto parts store? You also need to know the actual size so you can make sure you don't leave too much on the table.

After reading some of the posts it looks like your market prices are much higher than those in Az. Our price would be between $875 and $1,200 per month.

Good luck with your new client.

Quote Help

For that size building cleaned 3 x per week we would be around $1,200.00 per month.

According to me your price is right and you shouldn’t compensate this more. I think this is a big project and if your client is not satisfying with you then, explain him your services and I am sure he will agree with you.

Quality

I do not see any problem with that price as long as it is proportional to the quality of work.
