Pricing for a 1000sq office

Hello everybody,

I have my first appointment tomorrow to give a small office a bid. It is a 1000sq accounting office with no kitchen or bathrooms. They are looking for a routine cleaning which includes trash, vacuuming, and some dusting. The job would be 1 cleaning every two weeks. What would be an appropriate amount to charge? I am thinking between $50-$75 per cleaning how does that sound? We are based out of NJ.

Thank you for any responses!

$75 would seem too high to me. Given the size of the office this would be a minimum charge situation. You need to figure out what would make it worth you time to clean this office only 2x per month. I would say around $50 would be a good starting point but it also depends on how far you need to drive to get to this office.

Pricing for a 1000sq office

Thank you for the feedback I really appreciate it. I had my meeting today and it went very well. I'm up against two other cleaning businesses, but the first one bid way too high. The office manager liked my quote and my total price for a biweekly cleaning was 150.68 per month this includes tax. I was going to aim high but I decided to go to $65 per cleaning job since it was a small office with no bathrooms and kitchen.

We should have a decision back by Wednesday or Thursday hopefully its good news!

It took a little while but we landed our first job. The pricing of $65 per cleaning + Tax worked and it seems like we were on the lower end. I guess the janitorial services in New Jersey are really charging some high prices.
