I have a Vapor Clean unit I bought it at myvaporclean.com or vaporclean.com.
I have made some $$ with the unit but mostly small jobs furniture cleaning, restroom overflow clean up.
At home I have used the unit to loosen/tear up old vinyl flooring--made way fumeage than the heat gun--easy to over heat the vinyl which caused some fumes.
The ++++ quick heat up. easy to carry & transport. 65 lbs of pressure which is enough for most jobs. Changing tools is easy most of the time.
The - - - - no gauges for temp, pressure, water level (steam chamber) not effect as a carpet cleaner, does okay on small carpet spots.
I do have Steam Cleaning listed as a service on my thumbtack.com/profile, but 90% of the steam cleaning requests are for carpet cleaning. I did get 1 steam cleaning request to remove smoker's smell from a home.
I have offered steam cleaning for restroom disinfection to some new janitorial customers but most didn't want to pay extra for that service.
Do Differently.... I would have looked at units that can steam clean & vacuum, this combo would have been more useful and perhaps led to more jobs.
I did try my unit on a commercial kitchen tile & grout floor, it did melt.soften the floor grease but no way to vac up the melted grease. I do have something now that could do that but the floor tool for the steam cleaner is 12" not very wide and the process was slow.
