Keeping your office clean

Keeping your office clean should never be a hassle. It doesnít matter whether you clean daily, weekly or monthly, or you hire a office cleaning company. Your working space should always be kept clean.

Follow these office cleaning tips and a dirty office will be a thing of the pastÖ.

Organise your paperwork

As obvious as this may be, you should take a look around your office. If paperwork is piled up everywhere, you have a problem. But itís easy to fix it. All you need to do is find the proper storage for each type of file. Filing cabinets, wall pockets, and desk trays are your best friends when it comes to cleaning the paperwork thatís taking up your office space.

Keep your public area clean

If your office also has an area thatís designated for customers, I canít stress how important it is to keep it as clean as possible. The seating area should be dust and stain free. You can easily do this with a duster and a couple of clean rags. Furthermore, if you have a carpet on the floor, you should be vacuuming it at least once a week.

Keep the working area clean

Just like the public area, your office area should be nice and tidy. That means dusting every week, cleaning the cables from all of the electronics, and so on. Using a dust-repellent spray on the majority of surfaces will ensure a dust-free area for at least a week.

Disinfect your bathrooms

Besides providing your office with a clean look, disinfecting your bathrooms also creates a healthier environment for the employees that work in the office. Healthy employees means fewer days off due to sickness, which translates into more productivity. Hiring a professional office cleaning company will save you a lot of time and hassle.

Clean your electronics regularly

Dust has an affinity for electronic devices. Thatís why it will build up faster and it will be more visible around electronic devices and cables. Regularly use a duster and a soft rag to clean your screens, PCs, laptops, and so on. Be sure to use some disinfectant when cleaning the telephones, because a lot of germs accumulate on the telephone receiver.

Take out the rubbish

Office cleaning isnít complete without taking out the trash. Place a few trash bins in the most populated or circulated areas and be sure to take the trash out every other day. Donít let the garbage pile up. If you want a clean office, you canít be lazy about it.

Keep the desks clean

A major source of office clutter is messy desks. While some people work better in chaos conditions, the need to keep the desks clean is still present. You should install tissue and hand cleaning gel dispensers where your desks are. This will allow your employees to keep their working space clean and germ-free.

The kitchen should be spotless

If your office has a kitchen, you should take special care when cleaning it. Food should only be stored in clean recipients and cabinets. Clean these daily because the health of your employees is very important. Remember to clean the microwave plate, the sink, and the table on a daily basis.

Tidy-up the break room

Some offices have break rooms that are separate from the kitchen. If thatís your case, make sure your break room is also clean. You wouldnít want dust to be carried to and fro the work area and break room.

Hire professionals

Not everyone has enough spare time to do all the cleaning work. Thatís why some office owners hire professional office cleaning companies for this job. Theyíll use professional products and their expertise, which will benefit in the long run. Not having to spend extra time cleaning your office is a necessity for productivity.

I see several tips that can be added to the development of the cleaning not only for the office. But for the private flat, as well. Thanks for sharing!

I'm an expert in emergency fire and water restoration. Running a business is really stressful and cleaning is a daunting task for sure. Workspace cleaning definitely requires a qualified commercial cleaning agency or a junk removal company for heavy debris removal. They would recycle a few items and some are salvaged. A few are donated and only the rest is dumped. I've seen a few firms hiring any professional for commercial cleaning services for a one-time job. I prefer to contract the services for a few appointments each year. The precious time that we waste cleaning debris is better spent on assisting our clients and ultimately improving the business. The business will suffer if more workers are affected by diseases.
