Unhappy Help! Steam Iron heat stain on wooden floor...

Hi all

I am desperately looking for a method to remove a white stain on our wooden floor polished with polyurethane that I mistakenly caused yesterday by steam ironing on top of it, the heat must have gone through the towels I put down (I blame baby brain...). I have tried mayonnaise, and baking soda toothpaste to no avail. I have read about the iron method but am loath to try it when it was the cause in the first place! But am wondering if it would work without the steam to dry out the stain? Or maybe a hair dryer.

ANY HELP WOULD BE REALLY APPRECIATED!!

Thanks!

We all make mistakes! I sure do. Did you do a thorough online search for ideas? That might be your next step. I dont have that kind of knowl;edge but perhaps someone will. You could also try asking a certified Restoration Cleaning service for advice.

I agree with missannienow about asking for professional advice.A flooring company that specializes in wood floors would be a good place to start.
