Product Recommendation for Mold Remediation of Crawl Space?

New to this site and looking for some guidance. I am in the middle of a large project cleaning up and drying out my crawlspace. I've got the moisture problem under control. Before I lay down a new Vapor Barrier, I want to clean up the mold on my floor joists. It isn't too bad. The black sandy looking dot type of mold. Does anyone have a product that they can recommend to clean up this mold? I've heard many recommend bleach and water mixtures, but I've also heard negative comments on using bleach. I would also like to buy this product locally if at all possible. Ideas? Many thanks in advance.

In accordance with EPA, if an location polluted with mildew is greater then Thirty sq ft, you MUST seek for specialist to perform a mould elimination for you. The thing is, occasionally mildew is hidden behind the walls, under the carpeting, and so on. Its usually a good idea to get a mold examination in case you suspect large mold toxic contamination. If you are In Jersey I would suggest Mold Remediation NJ

Crawl Space Mold Remediation

Wow! A response to my post 4 years later! Thank you! I ended up taking a bucket of warm water and bleach and cleaning up with a rag. Worked like a charm, though it took me a long time. I did it in increments. Little here, little there. Sealed my crawl space, laid down a thick plastic barrier on the floor and walls and put in a dehumidifier that I rigged to drain outside the crawl space. All turned out great!

If you discover mold growth in your crawl space, it’s critical to identify and address the problem in a timely fashion. The sooner you can get rid of mold, the less time that it has to spread and create even more problems. In order to get rid of the mold growth and restore the crawl space to its original condition, you’ll need to clean out the entire crawl space. If necessary, you may have to install a vapor barrier and new insulation including air duct lines insulation. Apply disinfectants, including commercial anti-mold products, vinegar, tea-tree oil, or grapefruit seed extract – according to directions.
