My first and most important piece of advice to anyone who wants to copy my success is, "Forget all the refinishing guides you may have read." Most such directions make impossible demands on your time and money. A perfect high-gloss finish, for instance, is difficult to apply and a waste of effort. The same goes for the majority of "grain fillers" and sealers. Ditto for oil finishes, which are fragile. Forget all that and let me tell you about my favorite method of how to restore old wooden furniture . . . a quicker, less expensive technique that lets beautiful old wood look like beautiful old wood.

Follow these steps

Clear the floor
Clear the floor area of any furniture that’s easy to move.

Tip: Invest in furniture pads—they make moving furniture much easier, and prevent your wood floors from getting scuffed.

Dry-mop or vacuum floor
This gets rid of all surface dirt and debris.

Mop floor, going with the grain
If your floors are polyurethaned, dampen a mop with water and a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Be sure to ring out the mop thoroughly before using it on the floor. Run the mop back and forth, going with the grain of the wood in smooth strokes.

Tip: If your floors are lacquered or shellacked, don’t use water, which can stain the wood and cause buckling.

Buff floor with a cloth
To lift soapy residue after mopping and make your floor shine, hold a soft cloth in your hand and use it to rub the floor gently in a circular motion. Still not sparkling? Use a wood-floor cleaner recommended by the manufacturer.

Tip: Cloth diapers work well for buffing, because they’re very soft and absorbent.

Hello steamprony,
Good information you have shared on how to clean wood floors. The use of wood flooring has become more common in facilities such as retail stores, cafés and hotels. Due to high foot traffic, they should be cleaned frequently. There are several methods for floor cleaning, but High-speed polishing is the very good and latest method which is currently used for wood floor cleaning. It is still among the best cleaning methods in use today. You can protect and buff your floors with high-quality, professional waxing products, without hurting the surroundings. Keep sharing.
