Can anyone suggest tips for pool cleaning and maintenance?
I moved into a home recently in Toronto and became a first-time owner of a backyard pool. I got a pool maintenance company service to reopen the pool for me. He showed me around how to operate all the filters, pumps, chemicals and such. Following his instructions, I filled up the pool to the proper level and turned on the water pump.
After a gush of air bubbles came out, it was followed by a large cloud of brown water coming out of all three jets. Now the brownish water seems to be recirculating around in the middle of the pool. He did show me how to do the backwash and rinse cycles once a week, but he didn't mention doing the backwash right away before I started the water pump. Was it supposed to be done at the start of every season?
Nowadays, water in the swimming pool is cloudy. I don't want to swim in it. Is it because of improper maintenance or something related to the water system? I am a good swimmer and I use to swim in the pool in my locality. I was happy to own a swimming pool in my backyard. I am scared of the skin allergies that can be caused by cloudy water. So I need a fast reply. Can anyone help me?
