sprintcar93 If this person is not here anymore but anyone else wants these answers.... just answer the questions and I will continue.

What city are you in? Have you done residential cleaning before?

Very excited about finding this site!

Hi everyone, I'm new here and extremely excited that I found a forum on a business I'm considering starting. I'm looking to get into residential cleaning but being more of the Appointment setter, Estimator and manager/supervisor of the business. This is something that I've been considering for a while now and might start in about a year or year and a half from now. I just want to do things right from the start by having proper permits, insurance and advertisement in place.

Did anyone here start out but hiring out the work from the start? I'm thinking about hiring one/two employees and having them also drum up business by using a company car, handing out information etc. Along with formal advertisement for the business until a home was booked. Maybe I'm going at this the wrong way and if so, please educate me as I'm all ears and ready to listen!

I'm not even sure what current hourly rates are per person, how long jobs are supposed to take, how to bill for various types of rooms, or what to start employees at. So, I'm here to learn and research!
