New guy needs real world answers

Thinking about starting a foreclosure cleanup business in Florida. Pretty much have all the info on how to start, forms, guidelines etc. Did handyman work for years so figure i can subcontract for the larger preservation companies with a basic list of services that a 2 man crew can handle.

Have some questions. I know there are tons of foreclosed properties out there that need trash outs, securing, etc. Is the business still worth getting into? Who is in the business doing well? Who has left the business and why? Can you survive with this being your only source of income? Really want to hear about/from people, not websites trying to sell you a course or book.

BTW, I have searched and found tons of info on how to start, what to do, what to buy, but nothing about success stories. Found a few negative remarks about the business (very discouraging) but there has to be some positive.
