jahra352 An accountant won't necessarily be a large expense and would recommend using one long before you reach $250,000 in yearly sales. I still only see my accountant quarterly after many years in business but he ensures that I am paying the correct state and federal taxes.

CleanKing If you are a start-up, I recommend Quickbooks or Wave - they are both cheap and easy to use. You want to save as much money as possible during your first 2 years, so I would not bother with getting an accountant until you exceed AT LEAST $250K in annual revenue. Most cities also have entrepreneurial centers who can provide start-ups with free consultations on issues such as yours.

Payroll for profit?

Me and my wife are a new start up business and we are not sure weather to us a local accountant for payroll or use a program like quickbooks. We signed up for ADP but haven't used them yet and there seems to be a lot of negative reviews. We really could use some experienced knowledge here. Also would you use quickbook to taxes for a c corp?
