Ultimate Roof Cleaning On a roof? Let alone older Roof? If your talking about tear off then, maybe high power will assist you with that. But heís asking for a roof cleaning , not a replacement. Soft wash roofs to clean them. It actually cleans them too.

momentum Hello friend,
Yes, off course professional roof inspection services allows you to evade all sorts of costly and time-consuming trouble. Hiring a contractor is often safer than doing it yourself unless you have experience and skills related to roofing. Thanks for sharing.

missannienow ;IF I could afford it, I would put a good quality metal roof on my house. They are nice looking and last a long time, if installed correctly.

Cleanupcrew We use pressure for tiled roofs. We've found soft washing just rusts gutters and anything metal on the building.
Sort of depends how carefully you wash it off.

roof cleaning methods

These are some of the useful methods for cleaning roofs:
1. Mix Cleaner: Mix up oxygen based cleaner with water in a five-gallon bucket, following the instructions.
2. Wet Roof: Lightly wet down the roof using a garden hose.
3. Apply Cleaner: Use a stiff bristle brush to apply the cleaner to the roof, being careful not to damage the shingles.
4. Let Cleaner Work: Allow the cleaner to remain on for 15 minutes or so.
5. Rinse Roof: Rinse the cleaner off with a garden hose.

sohorugcleaning The eco-friendly, non-bleach, low pressure roof cleaning method
Roof cleaning companies that use this method use high-grade eco-friendly products that do not contain toxic chemicals such as chlorine-bleach, phosphates or other chemicals that can kill vegetation and pollute waterways. This method also uses a low-pressure rinsing system, avoiding the use of damaging high pressure scrubbing or brushing.
Pros: Typically, the results with this method are instant and complete. Algae, lichens, and moss are completely gone before the contractor leaves the property. Technicians use eco-friendly roof cleaning products such as roof shampoo and equipment designed precisely for safe, gentle roof cleaning. Contractors who use this method clean the roof while preserving the integrity of the shingles and without damaging the landscaping.
The chlorine-bleach roof cleaning method
Roof cleaning contractors who use sodium hypochlorite (chlorine bleach) mix it in high concentrations with other chemicals such as trisodium phosphate, also known as TSP.

They spray it on the roof and wait for it to dry and then re-apply it several times as needed. Stains and moss or lichens that donít come off on the day of treatment may eventually come off with rain in the months to come.

The high-pressure power washing method
Some roof cleaning contractors use high pressure power washing methods to attempt to remove roof stains.

Pros: Canít think of any.

Cons: Not only is this method damaging to shingles, but it's also not an effective way to remove organisms that cause roof stains. The high-pressure power washing method leaves root systems behind, so the algae will often return rather quickly.

pickleron Do you want to buy a new roof and replace the existing one? I would suggest using Slate Shingles, as they offer best moisture resistant properties and are excellent for freezing temperatures, on the downside they are a little heavier and structure of your house should be strong enough to bear its weight. Where you are based? We are based in Dallas.

liezljayne I'm curious about new "gutter cleaning robot" from iRobot. The idea is that you climb the ladder once, put in the robot, and send it out and back. The video demo makes it look neat, but I'd like to hear some first-person reviews. Might be worth th $99 if it works well.

Roof cleaning

I am going to replace my old roof on my house. It has had a few leaks here and there that I have patched over the years but the roof is steep and I am not getting any younger. I'd like to buy something that will last a minimum of twenty years that has the greatest resistance to moisture penetration. It can also have a couple feet of snow on it during the winter.I found certain layouts from Royal York Roofing Ltd. But I don't have any previous experience with them.Do you guys have any recommendation for good roof cleaners?
