ultracleantile Turn water off in the house, fix whatever is leaking, use water pumps, remove damaged material, and put fans in and turn them on to dry. Then replace /repair whatever is damaged

Jesseghostley First and for most make sure your not risk of electrical shock from a live electric wire in the basement water. You should definitely do some research on how to safely remove water from the basement before trying to remove the water yourself. You don't want to get electrocuted trying to remove the basement water. Also if you smell gas you should also be alarmed. if the flood water is contaminated by sewer backup then its surely needs to be cleaned up properly. At the very least you should contact advice from an expert before entering the basement.
