Real Non Pressure Roof Cleaning in Tampa Florida

Thanks Tom..we've been using the udor and have put maannnyy miles on her last year. Gotta flush it out immediately tho.....otherwise the valves get chewed up! Still worth it for the amount of roof cleaning work we have been doing.

Peerless @op-

What about shingle roofs?

What are you guys using to clean shingles?

K.J. We are all for what the manufacturer recommends for tile roof cleaning, but the reality is 1200 psi won't do much to the heavily mold infested tile roofs we deal with here in Tampa Florida. Non pressure chemical tile roof cleaning working with the lowest concentrations possible while using at least two people ( one spraying the non pressure tile roof cleaning mix, and one person down on the ground watering and protecting the plants, grass and property) is the best method.

SurgeFLA Roof tile manufacturers actually recommend low pressure (1200 psi) cleaning compared to heavy chemical cleaning. The following is from MonierLifeTile, one of the largest roof tile manufacturers:
The following method is recommended to properly pressure clean the surface of your roof to remove dirt, algae, mildew or moss. Different methods may be required depending on whether your tile is slurry coated or color-thru. In most applications though, a pressure cleaner set at approximately 1200 psi should be used. The tip of the nozzle of the pressure cleaner should be kept approximately one to two feet from the tile. The limited pressure and distance from the tile is used to prevent damaging the surface.
Due to many irresponsible and unlicensed contractors using strong bleach or chlorine based solutions, our new clients have been opting for our low pressure roof cleaning with hot water. Its safe for the property and the local water systems.

cliffmory Pressure washing is not recommended to clean the roof, as it eliminates a lot of ceramic pellets coated tiles, which will void the warranty coverage. Even at low pressure can cause loss of granules cover and shorten the life of your roof shingles. If you have already cleaned the inside of your channels, you will notice granules of rain just to remove them. Think about what would any additional pressure on the roof...
