Sprintcar, Thank you for that, and I agree entirely. I have NEVER submit a bid based upon square footage. I am leaning in this direction on the job I mentioned in another post about the final clean I was asked to bid without seeing.....because renovations haven't even started. I'd like to have a general idea of what rate companies are using around the country. I have spoken with a number of companies in neighboring states and they sound like me, they make an educated guess on the amount of time it will take and number of workers to complete, come up with an hourly figure for all overhead involved and add in profit for the golden number. I think I saw somewhere that the average is $.72/sq ft. Huh? I doubt it or.......maybe I wasn't understanding how the derived the figure? Blah. I have seen you post on another forum I think. | uptown girl | Sorry to have left out that info, I posted under Commercial Cleaning because I want the rate averages (sq. ft, hourly) for all aspects of it. Right now I am most interested in Final commercial cleans but I want to broaden my knowledge base all the way around. |
