New equipment is better
New equipment is better. You plan on keeping it long term so you may as well make the investment.
There are some items that used is ok.Like trucks, but my impression of the topic
was vacs and floor machines and such.I'd go for new if I could swing it.

|daytoncontractors||It depends on the item. New for things prone to breaking that are expensive because then you get a warranty and or money back. Used for small items that are fairly inexpensive, robust and easily replaced.|

|A Touch Of Glass||It's definitely worth the investment to equip yourself with everything you might need. You can charge for the supplies, and it will be straight profit.|

I have been buying all in new and branded equipment's. I think in the future I will be making as many things as I can.. Not only do I get more experience I completely know how to maintain my equipment and repair without having to pay anyone else.

I buy new equipment
Since I don't do only residential cleaning, most of my equipment is relatively inexpensive. The most expensive piece of equipment I use is a 16' foot aluminum ladder that folds up and I can put in the back of my SUV.

I buy new, there are usually service warranties and who wants someone elses abused equipment. After all this is cleaning equipment.
However, if a church or someone had a floor machine and THEY were the first owner and they are selling it because they don't use it often.Maybe.
But if a school was selling off their old floor machines. NO WAY.Those things get abused and our workhorses every night.
So, consider the source if you are trying to save some bucks.

I would say new one is the way to go, if you dont like it you can always return it, a used one? can brake you have no warranty, I've already learned my lesson and new one would be the best choice
