t.peterson Quick answers because I am out the door in a minute -

Yes, on the quality supplies and equipment
Yes, on offering interior windows as well
instead of ladders - look into the pole systems for window washing

I'll check back in a little later after my appointment

Rich Hey t. Thanks for asking...

I've been browsing through some threads and came across some supplier links that you all have given others. Those sites are great because I want to buy quality supplies, none of this cheesy stuff that will only make my job harder.

I'm obviously going to get all the cleaning equipment, but I also wanted to start with an instructional video or book. If I could only get one, which would you all suggest as the best? Do you all recommend a kit or picking supplies piece meal?

I plan on doing residential exteriors to start. Do you all think I should offer interiors as well. I'm thinking that when I get finished with the outside, the HO will think the insides look horrible which will lessen their perspective on my job. I'm wondering if you guys charge per window or per hour? Also, random do I go about setting up my ladder on big windows that are too wide for a standoff?

I'm sure I'll learn a bit more from just poking around in here, so I'll end here for now. Thanks again

Hi all

Hi everyone. I am a regular poster over on contractortalk and painttalk. I'm a professional painter and am going to be adding window washing to my services. I figure it's a good niche to get into and there seems to be a lack of guys offering this around here. So...good for me I hope.

First off, I know how it is when someone comes in and wants to get all this free info from the pro's and act like they can come in and start commenting like a pro to every and any question that pops up. I'm not going to insult you all like that. I know I have little experience and know nothing compared to you all. Although over time I look forward to gaining a lot of knowledge from you all and start incorporating it into my business.

That being said, I just wanted to pop in and make myself known and tell you all I appreciate your advice and knowledge in advance
