The natural way to kill mold and to keep it at bay, is to use straight vinegar in a bottle. Or use Hydrogen peroxide on it. You can put Hydrogen peroxide in a spray bottle also. Or just pour the vinegar or peroxide on straight on it if you are worried about spores flying through the air. Kills it right away.

Oh and grape seed extract also kills mold. Here is a great tip with that:

20 drops grapefruit seed extract

2 cups water

Combine in a spray bottle, shake to blend, and spray on problem areas and do not rinse!

Inhaling all that strong bleach is just as bad for your health as the mold!:unsure:

Mold problems are generally caused due to leak that has not been dried yet. Molds don’t look good. Usually they grow in areas like kitchens, bathrooms, and basements etc that are moist. If moisture will remain at a place for longer time span, it will develop mold. But it is true that a healthy home should not contain molds. You can remove it on your own with the help of a number of disinfectants available.

how to remove mold after water damage

Black mold develops from moisture and dampness. To avoid the promotion of mold, keep your home free of moisture buildup. If you have damp areas in your home, dry the areas within 24 to 48 hours to prevent mold growth. Eliminate wet and damp areas in the home by reducing indoor humidity to 30 to 60 percent. If you find mold developing, clean the surfaces with detergent, disinfectant and water. Materials that are porous and absorbent may require replacement, as the mold can develop inside these materials as well.

Very useful tips advised to keep the basement protected, though any unused place can get effected by the formation of molds, which sometimes gets tedious task while removing it. But Janitorial Supply offer good range of chemical for any type of mold removal with ease, also it eliminates the molds from its root. If cost of the kits or solution is concerned that then i must say it is the most economical among the rest.
