I have an opportunity to place a bid for the jani setvices at a local church. In your walk throughs what do you look for and what would you take into consideration aside from my basic cost? I've never been ask to bid on one before and Ive never cleaned one before so aside from the basic kitchen, bathrooms, office spaces, halls foyers/entry etc...what should I know and/or consider about this specific area? I just got the call today so I don't have all the details atm but once i do I will come back with my info. Just trying to get a head start. Thank you

I would ask them if they have any requested areas that they would like you to focus on, (besides the basics you mentioned) Windows? Private offices? Do they want you to handle the childrens daycare area in a special mannor?

I cleaned a church for about a year. Worship area was about 4-5,000 sq ft and had 2 restrooms. The large area had vinyl tile floors and I found that dust mopping with 36" dust mop pads was the fastest and also got under each pew rows. backpack vacuuming was a headache because of the cord.
I would hang the clean dry mop pads at edge of every 3-4-5 th pew, then go around and pick them up when done dry mopping. Wet mop I used 2 mop buckets on wheels 1 bucket for clean pads throw dirty pads in bucket # 2 which was tied to the clean solution bucket.
Damp mopped the worship floor also using 36' pads also.
The creepy part was when they had an open casket funeral + all the funeral people running around and seeing some dead guy in the casket.
