Handy Tips to Increase Carpet’s Longevity

Follow a Cleaning Routine

In order to ensure a clean carpet, it is important to vacuum the carpet regularly to eliminate dust and dirt embedded in the carpet fibres. Maintain a routine of vacuuming the carpet a minimum of once a week to keep the carpet resonate with the room's aesthetics.
Vacuum Multiple Times
When cleaning, make sure to vacuum the carpet a few times to thoroughly clean dust and allergens build-up.
Don’t Rub the Stains
Never scrub the stains on the carpet as that not only breaks the fibres but settles the stains on the surface as well. Instead, blot the stains and soak up the spills to prevent the formation of permanent stains.
Remove Tough Stains with Shaving Cream
Stubborn stains are better removed using shaving cream. Apply shaving cream on the stain and leave it to dry for an hour or so. Next, remove the stain by blotting up or spraying some water and vacuuming to dry the surface.
Club Soda and Vinegar to the Rescue
Leftover stains on the carpet are better removed by blotting with club soda or else, spraying a mixture of vinegar and water, and after 15 minutes, soaking it up with a sponge.
The Freezing Technique
If it is chewing gum stuck on the carpet, use an ice cube to freeze the gum and leave it to harden for half a minute. Next, remove the chewing gum using a spoon.
Remove Greasy Stains with Dishwasher Detergent
To remove oil or curry stains, mix some dishwashing detergent in a cup of water and spray it on the stains. Leave it for few seconds and then bloat up to remove the stubborn stains. Repeat the process if necessary till the stains are completely removed.
Get rid of Rigid Wax through Heating Process
Wax stains are better removed through a heating process. Spread a cotton cloth over the solid wax and keep a hot iron on top of it. As the wax melts under heat, scarp off the wax with a knife.
Conclusion
In addition to these helpful tips, proper cleaning and vacuuming go a long way in increasing the longevity of your valuable carpet.

If you have read these factors then it is sure that you will clean your carpet flawlessly. People do not clean their carpets for a long time which is not a good practice. Whether you clean your carpets yourself or hire a professional company for this purpose do it at least once in six months(plus daily carpet cleaning).
