I attached a 90 degree extension (see pic) to clean out the gutters.The sideways pressure broke the plastic connector on the Dewalt spray gun immediatley when I pulled the trigger. I'm afraid if I replace the spray gun with the same model it will happen again. Did I do something wrong in the operation of the gun, or do I need a better spray gun?

Please advise. Thanks.
