Tile floor cleaning equipment is the best when it comes to removing the contaminants from the surface especially the grout lines. After cleaning the floor using the equipment, the grout will surely become cleaner and will provide the tile a shiny appearance. It’s completely safe to use a tile floor cleaning equipment. The equipments can be conveniently used in home and poses no harm to children and pets.

Oxygen bleach is great for tile cleaning. It’s non toxic in nature and can be easily used on the surface that have coloured grout. The bleach is safe for fabrics and able to remove the dirt and grease from the grout lines. During the cleaning process the oxygen ions contained within the bleach break up the molecules of the dirt so that grease and grime can easily be rinsed away from the surface. The oxygen bleach is mixed with warm water and then the solution is scattered over the surface to be cleaned, and left for 30 minutes. The ions work to loosen the dirt from the surface and then scrubbers are used to remove them completely. Make sure the tile floor cleaning equipment such as the scrubber is fitted with the right brushes to clean the tiles. Horizontal brushes fitted to the scrubber are just not enough to clean floor effectively. Vertically driven scrubber brushes can enhance the efficiency of the equipment and get right into the joints of the tile to remove the dirt.

Baking soda is a great way to clean tile because it both cleans and deodorizes the tile as well as shining the grout. Pour water on the grout, and then sprinkle baking soda over the area.

Don't use Bleach and Ammonia Based Cleaners
Never use steel wool, abrasive scrubbing powders, or any other scrubbing material on your tile.
Don't let spills sit for any length of time.
Tile surfaces that are exposed to water will need to be caulked.

If you really want to keep the dirt off your new floor then you need to follow some important step like apply a good quality sealer, leave your shoes at the door, avoid using any strong chemical containing bleach.

Very nice information. But nowadays people are becoming more and more busy. Due to their busy schedule sometimes there is need of hiring cleaning services. If someone want to clean tile at home, then try cleaning with baking soda.

I use a steam mop to clean my tiles... only on the floor. From what I'm gathering, is this not an okay method if used daily?

Regular sweeping and washing with water or soapy water is the best way to clean the floor but over time you may notice that there is an uneven appearance on the floor. This is probably due to staining in certain parts of the grout. You may consult a professional floor cleaning company for that.

Don't use bleach, acids, or abrasive cleaners

Bleach acids and abrasive cleaners will break down cementitious grouts and strip sealers (if grout is sealed). If you need a deep tile and grout cleaning its best to hire a pro with the right equipment to provide satisfactory results. Time is money and you'll waste more time than it would cost to hire a pro if your tile and grout is sufficiently dirty. I would highly suggest following any deep cleaning (diy or pro) with a grout sealer.

Tips to clean tiles:

1) Regularly vacuum your glazed tile floors to keep them clean. Clean your tiles with mild detergent and water by using a rag mop. While mopping, change the dirty water frequently.

2) Make a paste of baking soda and water. Rub it on the stain and let it sit overnight, then scrub the stain in the morning with a stiff nylon brush.

Tile is a terrific flooring material, but the grout between the tiles is very absorbent and stains easily.

1. Dry your bathroom after every shower or cleaning.
2. Clean bathroom tile and grout weekly with a pH neutral cleaner.
3. Clean the tile and grout occasionally with a mild alkali cleaner.
4. Remove mold or mildew with a stronger oxygen bleach mixture.
5. Seal bathroom grout with a latex penetrating sealer after installation, and again every year.
