I have a question for you. My building is old, built in maybe 1970. When I look inside the airhandler area (where I put the new filters-) it is disgustinig! DUST, YUCK! I have asked two AC repair people if paying for an AC cleaning would be of benefit. Both said "absolutely NOT." What do YOU think????
With constant use of the air conditioner in the summer, there is a need for its periodic maintenance as it "passes" through a large amount of polluted air. Plus, it is constantly in contact with the condensate. Now I certainly know how to properly clean and how often you need to perform the procedure. But initially, I had no idea how to disassemble it and what detergents I should use. I was told about everything by the air conditioning service company specialists, whom I called after the breakdown of my first air conditioner. They examined it and decided that due to poor-quality care, the air conditioner could not be repaired.
If I had seen this post much earlier, I would not have paid for a dirty radiator and a damaged compressor. I thought that the air conditioner does not need to be monitored, but I was wrong. My air conditioner became dirty and smelly in a reasonably short time, but even this did not bother me. But then it just stopped working, and the smell was twice as bad as usual. When the air conditioning repair service specialists arrived, they said that they had never seen such a dirty air conditioner before. And since I did not do a chemical cleaning of the air conditioner, the radiator clogged and replaced. Which I did! But the price was huge...
HVAC systems are consist of comprehensive parts and mechanism. You need to first inspect the entire system and then identify the area which need maintenance or repairing. A professional HVAC repair service provider can help you in this regard as they know how to repair any size or model of HVAC system with ease and quality. And I just recently encountered the problem of ac trips after some time , which practically stumped me.
Above are major areas that you need to check through with the help of inspecting tools. If any part is not working properly then you can replace it. A qualified HVAC technician can detect and repair heating, cooling and ventilation systems efficiently and save you from heavy maintenance or replacement cost.
I also have a question for you! The air conditioner in my house is pretty old and hasn't been cleaned and years, but I believe everything else works perfectly. I read this article that said that a clogged or blocked air filter could cause aircon pipe leaking, which I'm currently dealing with. Would you be able to fix this situation? I've never seen the inside of an AC, and I'm sure that if I start digging in, I'll break something and make things even worse. How much would unclogging the air filters, or even a whole cleaning, cost? Since it's very hot here, I'm desperate, haha.
